I am running Fedora 17 and when I login I get the following error, "Oh No Something went wrong. The system encountered a problem and can't recover." If I log out and then login again everything works fine. Does anyone know how I can solve this.

Please keep in mind I am a Linux NEWBIE, I don't know ANYTHING to speak of when it comes to looking for or modifying files.

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Hello. I realize that this is somewhat old, but wanted clarification of whether this was solved.

To assist with the troubleshooting process, you could post the last 12 lines found in:

/var/log/boot.log

If the issue persists, when it occurs press CTRL+ALT+F2 which will bring you to a simple command line interface. From the previous log, you should be able to identify the issue. Please advise of any updates to this.

(I've become accustomed to nano as my editor, so I would $ nano /var/log/boot.log to view it.)

Thank you.
