I just installed Fedora 15 in my computer, (Config: Gigabyte G31M-S2L, 3 GB RAM, Intel Dual Core Processor E5200 (2.50 GHz)). After installed it, I installed VLC using terminal. It installed fine, and worked fine till restart my computer, when I restarted my computer and again entering in GNOME, it displayed a message "Oops, something went wrong" it it could not start. What can I do now, I need GNOME and VLC both. Sorry for my bad English. Hope you will understand my problem.

I did it as your instruction, but the terminal didn't run properly, it send me messages like "over-current condition in port 1" and "over-current condition in port 2" and the messages ware looping. I also opened KDE, there VLC worked fine, no error. On there I removed vlc, but still I can't start genome 3. Then I switched in Fedora 16 and there VLC worked fine and the genome 3 did not crash. can u please tell me what is the main problem? I installed fedora 15 with different selective packages like graphical desktop, programming development, minimal and server. There also same case, but it not in Fedora 16. Fedora 16 is updated than 15, but still I want to know the problem.

Are you sure that vlc was the only change on the system? After a failed login attempt, go into a virtual terminal using 'ctrl alt f3', login, and check the ~/.xsession-errors file. It should have errors listed in it. If you're sure that vlc caused this, you can login as root in the virtual terminal and remove it using the yum history feature

For example, the following command undoes the last yum command that was run.

yum history undo last

Please read the yum manual for more information on its usage.
