no audio in fedora 16

for fedora 16 - Audio works before then suddenly stop - here is how I solved my issue: 1-Check your video card [root@localhost user]# cat /proc/asound/cards 0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel HDA Intel at 0xefebc000 irq 43 [root@localhost user]# /sbin/lsmod | grep -c snd 11

2-Click on speaker icon at your desktop upper right hand corner 3-select sound setting 4-select correct hardware at hardware tab.
