Non live CD install media
All,
There is live media that fits onto a CD, but no "non live" normal install media. Only the 3.6GB ones. Aren't there any CD sized install isos that aren't live?

Take a look at .http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora-options#formats, where there's also an option for a < 200MB CD which launches a network-based install. If you don't want to do a net install and don't want a DVD, you're right that the Live CD is the only prepared option.
But, it's important to note that the Live CD has an easy option to launch the installer — it's not just a trial option.
Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on these tools. Can you take it to the Fedora Remixes mailing list and see if that helps? If this doesn't get you results, ping me and I will try and attract some attention.
