The failure is when vmware tries to load it's ui, it gets an undefined symbol from the load of it's dynamically linked libvmwareui.so - the symbol _ZN4Glib10spawn_syncERKSsRKNS_11ArrayHandleISsNS_17Container_Helpers10TypeTraitsISsEEEENS_10SpawnFlagsERKN4sigc4slotIvNSA_3nilESC_SC_SC_SC_SC_SC_EEPSsSG_Pi
is undefined, so the invoke fails
(/usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-modconfig tries to load libvmware-modconfig.so, which tries to load libvmwareui.so which fails)
