Changing workspaces with a scroll wheel

Using compiz in Ubuntu 10.10 in Compiz Settings, you could set the Desktop-based viewport switched to use scroll wheel up and down to flip through the workspaces. In Fedora 16, I have found in keyboard shortcuts that there is a place to set the hotkey for switching workspaces, but I can't set mouse buttons. I understand that it's "keyboard" shortcuts and what I'm trying to do may not work. Is there any other way to do scroll wheel workspace changing?

There are similar discussion going across this forum to map the mouse buttons to any actions. The best suggested way is to use xmodmap, as without any external tools help you cannot do it. There is no simple means like changing keyboard shortcuts. You can refer to the below questions asked here too -
