ATA hard disk password on resume

Is there a way to prompt for HDD password on resume?

Currently, in XFCE power manager, I must uncheck "spin down hard disks" to prevent system from crashing when I resume.

System is Dell Latitude D520.

None, as far as I know...

Have you tried the disk encryption feature?

I'm using it in my work laptop. It ask me a password before booting the system, because all my "linux disk" is encrypted. If the laptop is suspended it doesn't ask for it again... (maybe this could be necessary if you don't power off the laptop before you leaves the office)
