System freezes when using touchscreen and touchpad simultaniously on c720p chromebook

I have an Acer c720p chromebook. I completely wiped Chrome OS and installed Fedora 22. This laptop comes with a touchscreen. The touchscreen works, but there are a few problems:

  • When I decide to touch the screen after using the touchpad, for about 2 seconds the computer doesn't register gestures and interprets the input as a basic mouse. Also, when I have been using the touchscreen and I decide to use the touchpad again, there is a lag of about 2 seconds before my mouse pointer appears. This isn't to bad, but if I am looking at a document and I want to scroll with the touchscreen it takes about 2 seconds for the thing to start registering my swipes as scrolls and not just a mouse pointer moving around the screen. This was no problem in Chrome OS.
  • The most important problem: when I accidentally touch the screen while also using the touchpad, the mouse pointer starts flickering like it can't decide wether to stay or to disappear and I can't do anything anymore. Buttons refuse to work to and I need to turn off the PC with the shutdown button.

Thank you very much for your help!
