Hi guys

I see that, when I press "alt + space" the windows option menu appears but when I press "c" nothing happens. I have to navigate with up and down arrow and select an option. Is there anyway to highlight the keys when I press alt + space as it does in microsoft windows OS?

Mnemonics (as these access keys are called) have been removed from Gnome with version 3.10. However there are shortcuts you can use. For example try:

  • Alt + F4: Close window
  • Strg + W: Close tab
  • Cmd + H: Minimize
  • Cmd + Up: Maximize
  • Cmd + Down: Restore

Thanks for your reply. I think, I will stick to ctrl + w for closing windows & tabs.
