I am currently using ver 21 and while looking into ver 22 reports I have noticed that a lot of people have reported "Sluggish" response from 22 while using GNOME \nd it has been said that this will improve opnce GNOME is updated -

So the Option of KDE exists ( whic really reminds me of windows ver3.1 ! ) So My questions are ;- 1) Are there any advantages to using KDE over GNOME ( apart from the current issue ) 2) When is the GNOME update due to be released and will it be put in a Patch that will update a current install ?

Thanks in advance for your help

This is a non technical, subjective question.

Not to suew what you are trying to say but it is not helpful. There is scpoe in that question for someone to offer advice about the problem with GNOME in ver 22 and for people to suggest / inform me about KDE

Hi @Orriginal, please don't get me wrong, but your question about the problem you mention is not very clear, or at least it isn't to me... you should make your question more clear and provide some information about the issues you are experiencing. By the way, asking about the advantages of using one desktop environment over the other it is a subjective question that will lead to endless discussions.

Let me rephrase the statement - I have read various reports that say that users, once they have installed Fedora 22, have noticed a large performance drop in response time to applications / Screen redraws. i.e . it is slower and some have mentioned that fact that this appears to be a GNOME issue - - so I am asking, simply, what KDE offers that maybe good ( as I do not like the interface) and when GNOME may be updated to fix this issue of "Slower performance " in Fedora 22

GNOME requires hardware acceleration to function smoothly; that's optional with KDE. Everything else is a matter of taste. You're asking for subjective opinions regarding anecdotal reports of unqualified performance problems; the only non-preferential info you can get from that is whether one will perform better on your machine than the other, and you've already determined that yes, you could try that option. I really do not want a desktop environment preference debate here.
