Wireless is not working in new Fedora 22
I am using a Acer E 15 . I installed fedora 22 into it . But after installation the wireless is not working . Even I can not start with the "Fn + F3" key.
After that I tried running iwconfig
, which gave me :
enp2s0 no wireless extension
virbr0-nic no wireless extension
virbr0 no wireless extension
lo no wireless extension
So , what should I do now ?
If you run
lspci
, do you see your wireless card listed there? (If list is long you try filter it withlspci | grep Network
). Also, you can check whether Kernel modules are loaded:lsmod | grep wl
This one may also help you...
My fedora kernel version is : 4.1.6-201.fc22.x86_64 and the network card version for wireless is :03:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros Device 0042 (rev 30)
Is there any way I can get help . Is this kernel is still supported . If so then how ?
Sorry, @Mahabub-Islam, I can't help you further with this matter but I quickly searched the internet for "fedora Qualcomm Atheros Device 0042", and found a few interesting results. It may be that your card is not yet supported by the kernel.
(You are having a very recent kernel btw).
