FC22 dnf autoremove problem
Hello about 2 weeks ago dnf started to mark some packages for removing even though I think they shouldn't be removed. Here is a copy of a fresh dnf autoremove command http://pastebin.com/sFD5jG8c Can someone confirm that this is a bug in dnf or I should really remove this packages? I am using Fedora 22
Yea... my dnf autoremove also seems to try to remove things like 'steam' which I definitely initiated an install for. Strange
Same here, autoremove wants to remove Steam, and files needed by Steam.
Is there anything at all odd or customized about your Fedora 22 installation? Are you using a different desktop environment rather than GNOME on the standard Fedora 22 Workstation product, for example? If this is just a standard-issue Fedora 22 system which DNF has spontaneously decided to cripple by removing major packages like that, I find it hard to suspect this is anything other than a bug.
Apprently, dnf and pkcon (package kit) keep different databases for what they deem to be "useful" packages in your system. I don't have a source confirming this but it might be the cause of the problem.
Standard Fedora workstation, with Gnome-shell. Not even using Fedy.
