why am i being logged out automatically in fedora 22?
i have used fedora 22 on a dell xps m1330 laptop for several months and recently (in the last 2 weeks) have found that i am being apparently randomly logged out from the OS - without any warning or explanation. essentially i am using the OS and then i see the text based status messages that appear during the boot process, followed by the fedora login screen. after logging in, the session has been restarted and my previous apps and work are gone.
my research on this has so far only highlighted a similar problem that was experienced in fedora 16 by some people using laptops with multiple graphics cards, including an nvidia one - as i am with my laptop here.
i only noticed this problem after running the dnf update process a couple of weeks ago - during which a kernel update was applied and i think also an nvidia driver update too.
Does it says something like Xorg crashed? any error after restarting the system?
gnome-shell is probably crashing due to some bug in gnome-shell or driver.
i haven't seen any Xorg errors - or any errors at all. there's no error on restart either.
