my webcam does not work?

I am running Fedora 18 on ASUS Laptop older model, webcam does not work is there any programs to download for this problem?

This simple command worked for me, let me know whether it did for you: yum install gstreamer

To solve your problem you have to do just this :

Sign in as root User :

$ su -
password
# yum install ucview
# touch /etc/modprobe.d/uvcvideo.conf 
# echo "options uvcvideo nodrop=1" > /etc/modprobe.d/uvcvideo.conf

Thats all !!! and Now your Webcam will WORK successfully.

For making your webcam work you don't require any programs to download. If you have a laptop an sure there is webcam along with the laptop.Take a proper look at it and am sure you will be able to use your webcam.
