I created a partition on my USB drive to boot the Fedora 17 i686 install disk. Once I booted into the live session/installer, I asked the installer to install to the remaining free space on the USB drive. Everything seemed to be working until at the end I received an IOS Exception. I don't have the error details verbatim. The gist of it was that there was a problem because the USB was already mounted (specifically, sdb1 was mounted). I clicked to exit the error details, but without my realizing it, I closed my live session. That's the last I was able to use this drive.

Here is how the installer showed my USB drive and that I submitted before the error: /dev/sdb1 - iso /dev/sdb2 - BIOS boot /dev/sdb3 - OS /dev/sdb4 - swap

Now, I cannot seem to use the USB drive at all. My Win 7 work PC cannot format or repair it. My PuppyLinux & Mint don't even acknowledge that it is there.

Please help!

Burned ISO to a DVD drive and then booted back up into the live session. I was able to work with my USB drive again. Restarted the Fedora install to my USB drive, finished and everything is working like a charm now.
