Hi, I have fedora 22 and I have problems to get software center (not sure about application'n name) to work behind a proxy. dnf command works well but Software application doesn't show any application.

All networking and browsers is working well, so I'm wondering is there another setting that need to be configured.

Thanks!

You may need to open an let it open for a while the software center is a bit slow the first time it runs, if you can navegate with your browser and dnf works it is a mater of time with it. if you don't know the name of the package you loking for use dnf search search_term* will complete search on the description of the package for that word. That may help

I have the same problem. I doubt that the "just-wait" approach helps. Have you found out anything else?

This seems to be a missing feature for the setup currently used in Fedora 22. Software uses Packagekit as its backend, which itself uses libhif that is built on top of hawkey and librepo. (That's at least what I found out).

The problem is in Packagekit itself that does not pass the proxy values to the libhif backend. This is the situation for the currently available version in F22.

BUT: The solution seems to be on its way. I spotted the commits that fix this issue. They were accepted on the master branch, so this will be fixed eventually. Here is the commit/discussion on github
