Hi everyone,

as you can read in the topic description, I'm new to Fedora so I may make beginners mistakes.

Right now I have the problem that I can't run a .run file. A game I want to install, frozen synapse, has a win, mac and linux version. So I got the linux one and it was a .run file.

I searched online what to do with that file and saw topics that told me to "sh filename" in the terminal.

So I did, but I always got the error "cannot execute binary file"

I have a 32 Bit system and am quite sure that there is only a 32 bit version of Frozen Synapse.

Can anoyone give me pointers on what to do?

Thanks in advance!

I found the answer.

After going

chmod +x filename.run

I went

./filename.run

that did it.

Login to root

$ su
[password]

Permit the .run file as executable binary file

# chmod + x xx.run

Finally, execute the .run file

# ./xx.run
