How to make fedora internet connection faster ?
This happened when i want to update my fedora 22. I went to Cafe with wifi with my friend, and figure it out that my download speed when using fedora+firefox alone cant be the same with my friend that using IDM in windows. my speed: ~100KBps, my friend: 1.5MBps..
how can this happen? why Download Manager Program so important to have reliable speed for downloading files. Any explanation about it? why idm gets faster than me. I just about to installing a download manager for fedora, and i will ask here, what the best soft as alternative to IDM in fedora.
A Download Manager starts multiple connection to the source (or even multiple mirrors), so it kind of steals more bandwidth. I don't think you can achieve this behavior using DNF or Gnome Software for updating your Fedora 22. With yum there was a "fastest-mirror"-plugin that would select the best mirror based on ping time. I doubt that this functionality exists with DNF.
yeah, stealing some bandwith with ping command, right now. any tricks for this stealing? i wish fastest-mirror plugin exist with DNF,
