Hi,

On my F22 laptop GDM locks when you switch between users. I usually have to open a console session via CTRL-F3 and then reboot the laptop as trying to restart gdm appears to no resolve the issue.

If there are any ideas how to resolve this that would be great.

Thanks, Jon

I can't help you directly, as I only have one user on this machine and don't use gdm or Gnome. However, you should be able to work around this for the time being by logging out and logging back in as the new user. Have you searched the Fedora Bugzilla for any reported bugs? If there aren't any, you should probably open one and report back with a link to it.

@jondkent, command line works without issue? You could do a run-through with sealert for some problem with gdmflexiserver. I notice sometimes it throws errors because of authorization and permission issues. Run gdmflexiserver directly from a terminal to see if it is the same behaviour.

It does not resolve the problem, but you can change to lightdm. Is a bad idea reboot all time when gdm fails.

1) su
2) dnf -y install lightdm lightdm-gtk
3) systemctl disable gdm.service
4) systemctl enable lightdm.service
