How do I download videos from youtube.com in fedora16?

Is there any software through which we can download the videos from youtube.com like if we install the realplayer in windows then It gives the option for downloading the video's while running the video in firefox etc..

I use Flashgot addon in firefox. It's simple, fast and also, you can change download manager it uses to download .

The geneiric firefox extension (will work on any platform)

install: yum intall youtube-dl

syntaxe: youtube-dl -cit "url video or url playliste"

c: continue i: interactive t: title

Update: youtube-dl -U

other options: man youtube-dl

Doesn't require Java. Just copy paste the URL, check for the website to analyze the video and choose your desired format and quality (I always choose MP4 and 720p). If the format you want is not available by default, you can have it converted on the site's servers before you download it. It is very fast, and works flawlessly for me.

It's not an application, but I felt that I should make a suggestion regardless.
