im having trouble getting it install on my desktop and with the dnf is confusing me.

On which step are you stuck? To which issues do you come across ? Have you tried some howto over the internet ? for example : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nk2N9... , adapt it with the last release (0.8.38 as of today)
