Hi,

I'm trying Fedora17 on a new Dell vostro 3360 and I have some issues.

The atheros ethernet card don't work at all. Only wlan0 and loopback interfaces are visible.

Thanks in advance for any help / suggestion.

The only way I found to make it work is to compile the alx module found on linuxfoundation.org

  1. install or update packages :

sudo yum update kernel kernel-headers kernel-devel gcc

  2. download the module from here (sha1sum: 54f34e0a44de26e5d196d599fe2dd66a69c9415c) and untar it.

  3. compile the module :

    ./scripts/driver-select alx

    make

    sudo make install

    sudo modprobe alx

Note : you have to recompile the module each time the kernel is updated.
