dnf will download half of the packages after running dnf update. then it will get a bad mirror and will exit. Additionally it does not retain the already completed downloads. I have been unable to update because of the deficiencies of dnf. Given this I am in search of a method to use yum on fedora 22. I have found no such method any help would be appreciated.

@person512384 I would love to be able to continue with YUM I like it more than any other package-management tool. I use my Fedora's 21 until end-of-life and what I can see I'll just have to use DNF after upgrade. I'll be keeping a look-out for if it's possible to keep using YUM on Fedora in the future.

I had similar dnf update download and a mirror would timeout after network install from f21, tried network install from f20 with same result. Both instances seemed to break something and dnf would not work again. I downloaded and installed f22 workstation from dvd and verified with the checksum, first time I've done that... did a dnf update and it worked fine. Have done dnf install for Brasero and GIMP since and so far all seems good. I know this doesn't answer your question, but it worked for me. Good luck!
