Hi,

In my current set up, I have a laptop monitor and an external monitor. Something is wrong with my laptop monitor, so I am forced to use my external monitor for everything. Currently I have the external monitor set up as my primary monitor. However, it seems like the gnome3 graphical login prompt is showing up on the laptop monitor even though I have it set up as secondary.

Is there anything I can do to force the login prompt to show up on the primary display?

xrandr output is provided below if it helps:

Maybe too simple to be true but why not try to start up your monitor with the lid closed? I use a laptop although docked to an docking station with the lid closed and connected to an external monitor.

If you cannot reach the power button with the lid closed just close the lid right after powering up.
