Hello There,

Does anyone know if the Nvidia Driver is capable of supporting Plymouth (graphics as in images) or is it only the Noeavu driver that can display full graphics on boot.

My only other question is: Is Wayland going to be supported on the Nvidia Driver?

Thanks, Arcade.

In Fedora, you have a choice. You can use the nVidia driver (either the binary blob, or the much more sane repackaging from rpmfusion) or you can have pretty graphics during your boot. Alas, you can't have both. As far as Wayland goes, that's up to nVidia, because their drivers are all proprietary and they don't let anybody else know what's going on inside.

This guide explains how to install nvidia proprietary drivers and then restore plymouth graphics boot (from step 3):

Don't post just a link. If the link disappears, the answer becomes not so useful anymore. Post atleast a summary and use the link as reference.

well of course I could have extracted the necessary steps from the referenced link, but as usual when doing this, information is replicated, slightly modified and probably errors are introduced. the proper and future-safe place for the procedures on how to reactivate plymouth after installing proprietary nvidia drivers would IMHO
