Bootloader installation failed Fedora21
I tried dual-boot Fedora21 Workstation in my laptop which is installed with Windows 8.1. During the Fedora21 installation I was prompted that Bootloader installation failed then later when I rebooted my laptop it dint take me to either of my operating systems... Instead it showed by page with GRUB> prompts... Then I later used my Windows 8.1 Installation Media to recover my Windows. Now I am unable to install Fedora21 in my laptop. Live OS works fine... Please help .. I am a virgin LINUX user .
Have a look at this link and see if it helps https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/ques...
Make sure you are choosing the UEFI boot option to boot the Fedora media.
I am using UEFI BIOS olny...Can I do something with the Easy BCD ?
I was referring to the BIOS boot menu options - but if you are sure that you chose the UEFI boot option, we can move on. Boot the Workstation live media, open a terminal, and update your question with the full output of these commands:
sudo parted -l
sudo efibootmgr -v
I am having the same problems (or even worse), cant even recover my windows anymore. Would be very greatfull if some one helps. here are my problems paste.ubuntu.com/11314624. I would very much appreciate
