I have Fedora21 installed on 2 computers. the old IBM Laptop is very stable and great but my DELL GX620 keepon locking up, in any number of apps and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why ? It is a dual core 3.4 Mhz system, 2 Gb RAM. It has one Sata Drive and 2 x Scsi drives running off a Adaptec 29160 controller. Are there any known troubles with SCSI in ver 21 ? I do run a Adobe Flash player to listen to the radio but I am assuming that Flash is stable in ver 21 and I have the latest ver of it. One possible issue maybe that I have an NVIDIA GT240 graphics card in it and it seems stable enough while I use the default display drivers provided by installation......But is this maybe the trouble,. I have seen a number of issues with NVIDIA but this machine freezes with out playing videos etc.. A typical situation for afreeze is ..Listening to the radio via Flash...and in Mozilla, writing an email..then STOP...Freeze....sometimes a repeated "Dat dat dat" can be heard or often no noises But it is IMPOSSIBLE to do anyting other than turn off the system..crashing the heads and then to restart. PLEASE.. Any ideas? This is driving me nuts

I should also mention that i have run "yum install kmod-Nvidia" to use the currrent RPM drivers for Nvidia but everytime, Fedora is then unable to start at all..Very frustrating

SO - Really unhappy to say that the trouble was caused by the NVIDIA drivers all the way down the line. Using the RPM drivers OR using the NVIDIA provided Drivers or just using the dinver installed on install..ALL cause trouble. I have now removed the Card from the chassis and re installed Fedora and Works 100% fine but impossible to use some of my applications as a result of Low graphic ability. I seriuosly hope this problem gets sorted out and would love to hear from others usuing NVIDIA to see what happens with them. I had the GT240 GeForce - Would love to know a 100% certain answer to using this card here in Fedora as I cannot ake more time to keep trying to get it working Good luck and Thanks for providing Fedora 21 - its great apart from the driver issue ;-)
