Iam a newbie to linux.I installed fedora 21 and at the first boot,it prompted me a screen to login as locahost.I dnn't know what to do next.I tried to login by giving the username as root and i couldn't type the password for any of the username i type.Please help me with this issue soon.Thank you.
Just installed fedora 21 at startup it's asking for local host and password. Iveb entered the correct info but it's not.accepting it. I've reinstalled and gone.through the process 3 times now..what am I doing wrong

When you log in, the password you enter doesn't echo to the screen, even as asterisks, for reasons of security. Just type the password and press <enter> and if you've typed it correctly, all will be well. If you're logging in as root, of course, you have to give root's password, not that of a regular user. can you give me the error . if the password is lost check the rhel documentation how to recover passwd in single usermode
