Fedora 21 boot hangs at Plymouth graphic, does not continue
Hi Fedorans
I'm using F21 64-bit. On a Sony Vaio e11. Its been running for a few weeks now, I did an update and rebooted and its stuck at the Plymouth image after finishing boot. What's wrong and how can I fix it?
Thanks.
I hope the answer isn't to reinstall over again. Boot stops at "Starting Wait for Plymouth Boot Screen to Quit". This is not the first time this has happened to me with a Fedora install (its happened for me with 15, 17, 19). I really hope there is a real solution this time!
Any takers? I am having to press Alt+F2 after every reboot and run startx after logging in. Which is not very cool.
Same issue occasionally for a few weeks using F20 on a Sony Vaio VGN-NR11Z/T. Even virtual terminals are unavailable than but up to now rebooting allways worked fine for me.
You, sir, are charmed. I probably should have chosen F20 instead of the shiny new kid. I wonder if I should Debian or Ubuntu this thing, its driving me nuts.
