I want to uninstall Netbeans. But when I write the command :

[npopli@nikhil-pc ~]$ sh '/home/npopli/netbeans-8.0.2/uninstall.sh'

It give me a message saying :

Configuring the installer...
Searching for JVM on the system...
Extracting installation data...
Running the installer wizard...
Can`t initialize UI
Running in headless mode

Exception: java.awt.HeadlessException thrown from the UncaughtExceptionHandler in thread "main"

Please tell me how to uninstall netbeans ide.

Hi

If you installed it from the repositories you can uninstall it from within Add/Remove. If you installed it via the script from their website; in the install directory there should be an "uninstall.sh" file that you run.

[root@user]# cd '/usr/local/netbeans-7.2.1'

[root@user netbeans-7.2.1]# ls

apisupport etc mobility
README.html bin groovy
moduleCluster.properties THIRDPARTYLICENSE.txt cnd
harness nb
uninstall.sh CREDITS.html ide
netbeans.css webcommon dlight java php
websvccommon enterprise javafx
platform ergonomics LICENSE.txt profiler

[root@user netbeans-7.2.1]# sh uninstall.sh

That is command: cd/usr/local/netbeans-X.X If you have 8.0.2 version - then: cd/usr/local/netbeans-8.0.2 execute uninstall.sh file with the command sh uninstall.sh Note! 1. You need to use 'su' to become superuser (type it in your root password), if you used root privilege for installation.

You need install the java package for GUI option, it is necessary to run netbeans, and to uninstall it too, more information here (fedora developer).
In case of java 8:
