I want to uninstall Netbeans. But when I write the command :

[npopli@nikhil-pc ~]$ sh '/home/npopli/netbeans-8.0.2/'

It give me a message saying :

Configuring the installer...
Searching for JVM on the system...
Extracting installation data...
Running the installer wizard...
Can`t initialize UI
Running in headless mode

Exception: java.awt.HeadlessException thrown from the UncaughtExceptionHandler in thread "main"

Please tell me how to uninstall netbeans ide.

If you installed it from the repositories you can uninstall it from within Add/Remove. If you installed it via the script from their website; in the install directory there should be an "" file that you run.

[root@user]# cd '/usr/local/netbeans-7.2.1'

[root@user netbeans-7.2.1]# ls

apisupport etc mobility
README.html bin groovy THIRDPARTYLICENSE.txt cnd
harness nb CREDITS.html ide
netbeans.css webcommon dlight java php
websvccommon enterprise javafx
platform ergonomics LICENSE.txt profiler

[root@user netbeans-7.2.1]# sh

That is command: cd/usr/local/netbeans-X.X If you have 8.0.2 version - then: cd/usr/local/netbeans-8.0.2 execute file with the command sh Note! 1. You need to use 'su' to become superuser (type it in your root password), if you used root privilege for installation.
