I am currently running Fedora 21 KDE Spin. I will like to make it dual boot with Fedora 21 Workstation. Is it doable? How? Please provide step-by-step instructions. I am a newbie!

df -h produces:

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mapper/fedora-root 50G 12G 35G 26% /
devtmpfs 791M 0 791M 0% /dev
tmpfs 802M 76K 802M 1% /dev/shm
tmpfs 802M 904K 802M 1% /run
tmpfs 802M 0 802M 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
tmpfs 802M 1.9M 801M 1% /tmp
/dev/sda1 477M 156M 292M 35% /boot
/dev/mapper/fedora-home 406G 166G 219G 44% /home
tmpfs 161M 12K 161M 1% /run/user/1000

What I will really like to do is to reduce the size of / partition to 25 gb and use the freed up space for installing the workstation.

gparted shows /dev/sda1 ext4 /boot and /dev/sda2 lvm2 pv fedora.

You will be unnecessarily wasting space and will have to maintain two Fedora install if you want to dual boot Fedora Workstation and Fedora KDE. The simplest solution would be to install GNOME on top of your current install which can be done via following command.

yum group install gnome-desktop

Then you can easily switch between GNOME and KDE.

Thanks. But I am specifically looking to have a dual boot system. Any help on how to achieve that?

yes , please, i had problems because one fedora hide the entry of another one in the grub, after kernel updates.
