DVB-C Television Viewing and Recording (Successor for Kaffeine)

I have been using Kaffeine to watch and record TV via DVB-C because it seemed to be the best TV application in Fedora when I last tried. Unfortunately it is not developeed anymore and retired in newer Fedora releases. What can you recommend instead?

I don't have DVB-C, but I have DVB-T devices (actually I have 3). At the moment I use Kaffeine to use these devices. It's available for Fedora 20, and I have package kaffeine-1.2.2-7.fc20.x86_64 installed. I'm not sure what you mean by 'retired in newer Fedora releases' - there is no newer Fedora than 20, unless you're counting the (as yet unfinished) Fedora 21 Alpha release.

Ok, I took a deeper look. Your package is probably from RPM Fusion, since it moved there from Fedora starting with Fedora 20. According to package DB it is retired: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/kaffeine/

The pkgs git explains that it moved to RPM Fusion: http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/kaffeine.git/tree/dead.package

Ah yes, that'll be it then. Good spot. There's absolutely nothing wrong with keeping on using it until someone produces something better - and I can't see that happening soon.
