I view my emails in plain text. For example, emails from stackexchange look fine both in html and in plain text. When in plain text, they are formatted in Markdown - [name] (url) for links, * text * for bold/emphasis.
In contrast, the emails from Ask Fedora viewed in plain text do not show the links in any way. Before I switched to HTML mode to troubleshoot this, I did not even know that there were links in the email.

Should we fix this and how?

I checked the RSS feed, and it looks like legit markdown. so maybe it's just the emails.

If you were going that route I would suggest to have footer notes e.g.

This is some email content with [some text][1].
Please check [your answer][2] or visit [your profile][3].

Links:

... rather than inline links.

It's again something that upstream will need to look at. Can you please file a bug at http://askbot.org/questions and use the "askfedora" tag with it?

@dnozay: fixing text mails is well.. a bug fix. Changing the format to links at the bottom would require a restructuring, which makes it an RFE. Can you please file one, and see what upstream has to say? Note that forums generally use inline links, and I've only seen the links at bottom format in mailing lists.

Comments

I filed a bug at askbot. I made it community wiki so anyone with 100 karma can edit it. If you have under 100 karma, comment here or there so I or somebody else can edit it.
Should I file the Comments not displayed bug upstream too?

Sure. I haven't seen that bug myself, but if you have, please file it upstream. Thanks :)
