Upgrade to Kernel 3.16+ Causes Hard Lockup or "Freezing"
I can not upgrade to a kernel above 3.15.10-201.fc20.x86_64 without experiencing random hardware "freezing".
I'd like to contribute my issue for tracking, but I don't know which logs I should be analyzing.
Any advise?
(on a side note, if I've patched bash, am I still exposed to shellshock?)
Update:
I mapped for SysRq key and even a System Request to kill all processes does not work. Also, Xorg.0.log(.old) does not show any errors or warnings.
More information: Got a few kernel panics and the following information I can ascertain:
CPU: 1 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/1 Tained: G C 3.16.3-200.fc20.x86
I am using the RTL8723AU driver (still considered staging) https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/53485/how-can-i-trackdown-my-wifi-driver-issues/
Where can I get the whole log? I have only a photo of the panic...
