Hello. In official repository there is version 2.4 of MongoDB but I need version 2.6. I know it can be downloaded from their own repositories, but I would like to have this version in official Fedora repositories. Which is the process to beg the package maintainer an update of the package? How can I know who is the package maintainer? Thanks!

There is no need to beg for anything. First, read the updates policy and understand how Fedora handles the updates of the packages.

Then, read the FAQ and specifically : Where can I request a newer version of a package in Fedora?

So, the answer to your question is:

File a bug report about the package you are interested, and request an update. Don't forget to explain why this update should be done.
