Installing Fedora on SD-Card [closed]
Hello, I have problem with installing fedora in sd card. When I install apps they dont seem to stay there and get wiped off. I used the direct write method. I have fedora installed on my desktop and windows also (so can use any method you suggest)
Some background : I recently bought a lenovo laptop and it turns out I cant repartition HDD or install any other OS without voiding warranty. It came with Worst OS (a.k.a Windows OS) 8.1 installed.
It sounds like you wrote a live image to the sd card? That's not installing, it is still a live image. If you're booting a live image, persistence is not expected.
Then how to install it?
Write the image to some other media and follow the normal process for installation.
Okay, will try it and let you know. Thanks!
Oh - you'll want to make sure that you tell the installer about your existing /boot/efi partition. It might be a good idea later on to rephrase your question to ask about optimizing the installed system for an SD Card - they are slow, and the experience will probably not be that great, but a little tuning will probably help.
