Gnome has a embedded screencast utility ( to start/stop use: ctrl+shift+alt+r) that works fine but I get no sound, how ever the .webm file format that the video is saved in, is a audio-video format, that means it is posible to get my sound right? so how can I get my audio working. Thanks!

It was possible to record the sound also, you had to enable it via gconf editor with editing scheme. Unfortunately that is not possible anymore as the options got removed and are hard coded now.

But there are alternatives available, so have a look at the extensions base on gnome:

Gnome-screencast is only a video recorder. You cannot record audio on it. Most screecast tools are video only. You record the audio separately, and you put them together using a movie making tool, such as pitivi.

Yes, but I've seen some solutions based on being able to define a kind of gstreamer filter for gnome screencast (through gsettings/dconf) to enable sound recording. I'm not sure if they work in latest Gnome though.
