how to remove firefox 29 using yum

Can not remove firefox 29 using yum because no match for argument

yum list firefox Loaded plugins: langpacks Available Packages firefox.x86_64 29.0-5.fc20 updates

[root@hpcore log]# yum erase firefox.86_64 Loaded plugins: langpacks No Match for argument: firefox.86_64 No Packages marked for removal

yum erase firefox-29.0.5.fc20_x86_64 Loaded plugins: langpacks No Match for argument: firefox-29.0.5.fc20_x86_64 No Packages marked for removal

Take a closer look at what you've typed there compared to what you've listed as Installed.

next time you may check using RPM

rpm -qa | grep firefox

ex. output

firefox-29.0-5.fc20.x86_64

then uninstall using YUM

yum remove  firefox-29.0-5.fc20.x86_64

# yum remove firefox

If this is all about new interface of Firefox (Australis) then I suggest to try out Classic Theme Restorer add-on. It brings classic interface back!
