Fedora - Flash player - sites with links to www.google.com are not working
Hi all,
I have serious problem. I have installed Fedora 20 LXDE. I have installed flash player and plugin for Firefox using this manual: install flash in fedora 20
But now, every www site that refers to google.com (google analytics etc.) freeze and does not load as well as other pages using flash technology.
It seems, that the problem is caused by old flash player 11.2. I would like to ask some experienced users how to solve it, because I can not use firefox because of this issue.
I really need some help.
Thank you.
Can you provide an example link where the issue occurs? Flash is working just fine for me here.
Yes, I can. It is unbelievable but: www.google.com and every page using google analytics - e. g. http://www.fedoraforum.org/ .

You can test by uninstalling the flash package...
I am pretty sure that my problem is related to flash. First of all I have only Firefox without flash and www.google.com wrote me the warning message, that I am using old version of flash player. Then I have installed the flash player and firefox plugin. I did not see the warning message anymore but the google.com site freezed.
I am debugging a similar problem at the moment, though I do not know whether it is Flash related. I do, however, have the latest version of Flash installed as well.
After using Firefox for a while, Google and sites that use any Google services (like analytics, as teo mentions) simply don't load anymore. They work fine in Chrome, so the network is not to blame.
A simple restart of Firefox doesn't solve the problem, but Interestingly (re)moving ~/.mozilla/ _does_ for a while, then it breaks again. I have tried multiple times; sometimes it only works for 20 minutes or so, sometimes for two or three hours, then the same problems occurs and Firefox becomes unusable until I get rid of ~/.mozilla/ . It's very strange.
I am using a proxy and have tried both, manual proxy configuration and automatic proxy configuration with the same result. I ...(more)
