When I reboot my machine, I wan't a Konsole to start at startup, and for this I use session control. Login to last session. But it's not working because it's been starting firefox at the many last reboots, and firefox has always been closed at reboot. How can I fix this? I've looked at the "Autostart" and there are no applications set to autostart. One way would be to shut off the login to last session and put the Konsole program in autostart, but this is not the behaviour I wan't. I want the session control to work.

EDIT: It stopped doing it after a while, don't know what the problem was.

Which desktop environment are you running?

Before you reboot and after you close Firefox, make sure it has actually exited, check a system monitor or the output of ps -ef | grep firefox.

Also do you have konsole running when you log out?

@Ahmad I have the KDE desktop environment. Yes I usually have a konsole running when logging out, I like having it running when I log back on. After closing firefox and running ps -ef | grep firefox this is the output: UserName 27005 26942 0 17:24 pts/2 00:00:00 grep --color=auto firefox

The output of the command shows firefox is not running (you'd get a line that contains /usr/bin/firefox if firefox is running). Try this: - close firefox and run the ps command again, make sure it's not running - log out then log in, does firefox still autostart?

@Ahmid I ran the command and was sure that firefox was not running, Still firefox started after boot, all by it self???? Do you have a clued, why this is happening, and what to do?

Can you verify that the contents of your $HOME/.kde/AutoStart matches what the control panel shows?

Also, something might be trying to launch a .html file (and not Firefox, per se) on startup.
