My Fedora Will Not Load Many Websites; why is that?

I am knew to Linux and Fedora 20 64 bit. I love everything about it except the fact that certain websites will not load at all. One biggie is MLB.com because I am a sports writer and need that website daily. Also the website of the comapny I work for will not load. Is there something I need to add like Java or Flash? Again... WAY new so please forgive my question. I cannot find an answer on a site that I can load.

Which browser are you using? Firefox? It could be the issue with the browser! To install flash plugin, you can visit this page https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/question/10217/how-to-install-adobe-flash-on-fedora/

I'm using Firefox for now. I just downloaded Chrome to see if it will work better. Thanks for the link. I'll check that out as well.

SOLVED! I just downloaded Chrome's offering for Fedora 64 bit and it works flawlessly so far.

Chrome uses plugins on demand system. It gets plugin from net if one is needed.

rpmfusion project , is about nonfree things that we can ship on Fedora .

So configure rpmfusion repos and you could install many cool but not free feature , like support to mp3 ...

we have in rpmfusion a new package to install flash-plugin , you may try it :

and just do :

yum install lpf-flash-plugin

after install you need run lpf-gui as normal user , first run is a little tricky because it need add you to pkg-build group , you need logout and login to user get permission , but after that runs very well , you may enable notifications.

I still think just using adobe's package is better than using lpf, even if lpf is in rpmfusion.

I haven't seen the details, but I generally prefer prebuilt packages than wrappers around prebuilt packages. Is there a post somewhere that details the advantages of lpf over lets say using the normal adobe package?

The blog post says: "Using lpf,, there is now a package lpf-spotify-client. After installing this, one just have to click on the lpf-spotify-client icon or use ‘lpf update’ in the terminal. This will download spotify, build an rpm and install it. It’s meant to be as simple as possible, but it will always need a user actually pushing the button." I don't see how that's better than the user following a simple how to to install skype. One less step maybe, but he downloads everything himself and knows exactly what occurs.

lpf do an rpm package from sources and not use upstream rpm package, in flash-plugin case also fix rpm things, you also have lpf-skype , which make an rpm from source, I think skype doesn't provide rpms ...
