Hi,

I am using AMD FX-8350 & Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P Mother board having "USB controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. Device 3483 (rev 01) (prog-if 30 [XHCI])"

When i try to boot Fedora 20 with default kernel 3.11 I am getting many below messages. Please refer & suggest a solution for the same.

Try the workaround as described here . If you cannot solve the problem, search for a bug in bugzilla. If you find one, participate there, if not, open a new one.

I'm not sure how relevant the link to Common Fedora 15 bugs is for Fedora 20.

It's not a direct link to Common Fedora 15 bugs page. It's a link to Fedora Wiki. Yes, the workaround is for Fedora 15, but who knows if this is working on 20 too ? If not, I said that better would be to open a new bug for Fedora 20 (if not exist already).

Hi Thanks for the reply...

I want to suppress these messages while making IOMMU enable in BIOS. Please refer & suggest a solution for the same. [ 1.222963] AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT device=02:00.0 domain=0x0015 address=0x00000000be966740 flags=0x0010]

I thought I needed to enable IOMMU to get USB2 and networking working on a gigabyte MB (GA-970A-D3P) in fedora 20. If that's the only reason you want IOMMU enabled, read on. This worked for me. Shut down. Disconnect the network cable, Go into the BIOS & disable IOMMU. Boot up and then plug in the network cable. I haven't touched the network cable since and have booted up twice; all the usb ports and the network have been working. (Info in posts 16 & 31 at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2111223 gave me the idea.)
