I would really suggest you use Google. Just simple searches like "Matlab "Linux" alternative" will give you many many posts. There are many alternatives available. In fact, there's a project called the "Linux alternatives project".
Also, if you can describe what these apps do, we'll be able to better answer your question. You aren't using Google to help yourself here, but you'd assume that people trying to help would Google to see what these apps do? :)

Firstly, stop being offended. Have you read the guidelines yet? We specifically ask you not to take offense at downvotes. Please read that guidelines again. Such language and attitude can get you suspended. Secondly, you've asked a very general question and as I've commented, you'd be better off doing your research and asking questions when you run into specific issues related to Fedora. The fact that you're asking alternatives to Office and Paint show that you haven't attempted to find these yourself at all.
