Don't you want to install Fedora (completely) in the USB stick ? This can be happen (I think).

The typical way to make a liveUSB makes the USB act as a CD, read only. Yes the WHOLE USB, no matter how big it is, becomes read only.

There have been attempts at making persistent storage work, I think the Fedora Live USB creator gives an option for it but it hasn't worked for me well in the past.

You should git the LiveUSB creator a try, or you can unetbootin.
