You generally do a group install if you work from the command line.
yum groupinstall "KDE Plasma Workspaces"
Once the install is finished log out. In the greeter there will be a gear icon that allows you to choose the desktop you want to use.

Assuming you do not have KDE, you must first install it. This is easily done from the command line using yum as
sudo yum groupinstall kde.
After it is installed, you must logout and login again. After selecting your name, you will notice a target symbol, click on it and choose KDE. Complete your logon.
To revert back to Gnome, before completing the logon, choose gnome
