Hi all, I know i cant get a detailed answer for this question. but still...

I got impressed by fedora since it was fedora 11. i went forward to translated a few fedora websites (nearly 40 %) into marathi language i.e my mother tongue. slowly i found that command prompt to be more stronger than gui, but new people find it little difficult to understand it. typically when i made a windows bootable usb by the command "dd", my friends were surprised but said if there was a gui for that. i think (i might be wrong) there is no gui for that.

So how do you people make a gui programme of these commands. I have newer programmed anything in my life. but if people here guide me i wish to create atleast one gui programme for myself first and then see if i am any help to fedora.

This indeed will help me also.

Regards

Amod

Disks is installed by default in Fedora and can be used to create a bootable USB. Just right-click on any ISO image in Files and select Open With... -> Disk Image Writer. Alternatively, open Disks, select the gear menu in the upper-right, and choose Restore Disk Image.

You can find a good tutorial on creating an installable GUI application at http://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/gtk-getting-started.html

Please also note that GTK is one toolkit. You are welcome to use another like Qt: http://qt-project.org/resources/getting_started/

Unfortunately, one cannot teach you how to do all of this in an answer here. You must read the documentation and tutorials yourself and learn how to do it.
