Fedora does not include non-free or proprietary software (except for some firmware) in the default repositories. Refer to the forbidden items page for more information. You can use the RPM Fusion third party repositories to get VLC. Run the following commands:
sudo yum install http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
sudo yum install vlc
Note that if you want access to the non-free repository, run the following command as well
sudo yum http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm
randa is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
you use su - and run these commands as root or configure sudo. Refer to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Configuring_Sudo
