As of recently, I have found that whenever I go to click the power icon from the upper right corner or press Ctrl+Alt+Del, nothing happens on my screen.

Normally, it would pop up with the Restart or Shut Down function menu, right? For some reason, I'm getting nothing when I do either of those methods.

How might I go about fixing this?

What's the output of:

gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.lockdown disable-log-out

if it's "true", then you need to set it to false to be able to log out, as user in terminal:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.lockdown disable-log-out false

or if you prefer using the GUI, use dconf-editor to do the same thing.

It seems that it is set to false now and it suddenly seems to have started working again without me intervening. If something else does end up happening, I will just comment on this answer.
