Install issues on Macbook pro 8,1 with Fedora 20

Trying to install Fedora 20 onto my Macbook Pro 8,1 (early 2011). It has a Intel HD Graphics 3000. When i boot off the live CD through the rEFInd menu I get a screen with the Fedora logo that slowly fills white then I get the following screen:

After that the computer just sits there and I have to manually power off and back on. Trying the basic graphics mode results in the same issue except I am left with a black screen.

Any ideas what I can do to get this to boot and install?
