permissions setup - Advice required
Hello everyone, I just wanted to make a new network of computers at my school in linux and as I am new to using fedora (or linux particularly), I need your help.
Here's what I actually need- 1) All computers should have a single admin/root user. [or] A single computer should act as a host whereas all the others act as a client under them
2) No user should have a specific computer to log in. (For example, if a user named "Josh" can be logged in from one computer, he should not be specific to that one, he can log in from whatever computer he needs to.)
3) All the computers should have access to their own local hard drives but nobody other than admin should be able to delete files.(However, they can create new ones though)
Any help will be appreciated :) Any link to tutorials would be appreciated too. Thank you in advance.
P.S.- I am using fedora 19 release currently, if that matters.
This has nothing to do with permissions, this is setting up a lan with users. You should read Samba, LDAP and NFS.
I put the permissions title there - it replaced "network setup", which seemed even less appropriate.
